Bolton Wanderers boss Sam Allardyce is hopeful of wrapping up the signing of former Manchester United midfielder Quinton Fortune in the near future. The 29-year-old South Africa international is currently training with the Trotters in Switzerland and has impressed Allardyce with his efforts.

Bolton manager Sam Allardyce has confirmed he is close to completing a deal to bring Quinton Fortune to the Reebok Stadium.The South Africa international was recently released by Manchester United after numerous injury problems and had held talks with Bolton, Manchester City and Celtic over a possible transfer.

Bolton are close to signing former Manchester United midfielder Quinton Fortune. The 29-year-old South African has been training with the Trotters recently and, providing he proves his fitness, manager Sam Allardyce will complete the signing.  
 
5.  Delaware horses in $1M pace (Delaware State News) 
 
Delaware-owned 3-year-old pacers Total Truth and Western Ace earned spots in Saturday’s $1 million Meadowlands Pace. Total Truth finished third and Western Ace fifth in Saturday’s eliminations.
